Recap: Summit Bracket Series #1 & #2
With perfect weather and conditions, Carolina Dragway “The House of Hook” hosted its first two Summit Bracket Series points races of 2022 on Saturday and Sunday, April 2-3, 2022.
Tons of talented bracket racers arrived on the property ready to get started with a new season of events over two days of competition, and eight individual classes were contested on each.
Thanks to the cooperation and exceptional sportsmanship of all in attendance, as well as the Carolina Dragway team’s efforts to keep everything running smoothly, each day was run to completion without any major incidents and winners all enjoyed their prizes and Victory Lane photo sessions.
On Saturday, the top prize in FTI Super Pro went to Colby Fuller while Jeff Harm took the win in the Miller Automotive Transmissions Pro category. In Pro Motorcycle, Stanley Russell was named victorious and Harold Wilson finished first in Sportsman. Roman Salter won the Super Gas class, hosted by the Super Gas Association Southeast. Finally, in the Junior Dragster categories, wins went to Kate Ward in the Beginner group, Beau Sims in the intermediate group, and Savanna Bilton in the Advanced group.
On Sunday, the same eight classes were run with wins by Colby Fuller in FTP Super Pro, G.J. Crews in Miller Automotive Transmissions Pro, Jamell Dunbar in Pro Motorcycle, Dusty Carroll in Sportsman, Cory Gulitti in Super Gas, and Kate Ward, Beau Sims, and Samantha Wyndham in Jr. Dragster Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, respectively.
